Teaching

OVERVIEW

I treasure and enjoy my role as a teacher. My hope is to bring clarity, curiosity, and interest to the fields of statistics and data science. Many of my mentors and instructors conveyed a great love and passion for their work which instilled in me a general respect and appreciation for their field. To the undergraduates, while many will not become statisticians or data scientists, I hope to provide a similar impression of statistics or data science – showing how the fields impact them in a practical way and the importance of obtaining a basic understanding regardless of their field of interest. For the graduate students, I hope to teach, advise, and mentor them as they develop into mature researchers with sound knowledge, clear thinking, and unbounded curiosity.
